Heather Foat

DREAM OUT LOUD.

Born three months premature, Heather and her identical twin sister, Amber entered the world on Father's Day, June 19th, too early, weighing just 2 lbs each. Sadly, a week after they were born Amber passed away, and this event would significantly shape Heather's life.

Heather Foat has always felt she was born with purpose.  She recalls learning the word "ambition" as a kid, and to this day she can still see her little hand write out the words: to make a difference.  So when Heather found herself at the age of 28, a graduate from California State University, Chico, unhappy in a career in Advertising Sales; she knew she had to do something to change her circumstances.

In 2011, with $1800 and a backpack, she bought a one-way ticket to Costa Rica to ask herself the questions:  what makes me happy?  What do I want to do with my life? Who am I?

After 4-1/2 months of travel in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama, Heather returned home to Sacramento, CA declaring her dreams out loud: to teach yoga full-time and express herself through singing and art. This outburst led to art shows as well as the harmonious union of acoustic duo, Mango Jennings + Foat.

An international yoga teacher and singer encouraging people to find and be their best selves, Heather knows what it feels like to not feel like you're living up to your full potential and the brilliance that comes from life when you do.
